Dear Ralph & Team. Asyou know we had some challenges over the last few weeks. We spent a lot of money on parts that we felt weren't needed. You took it upon yourself to basiclly say," come hell or high water you will fix our truck" and we feel you did. We hope our truck will keep on running as well as it is now. Technology is changing exponentially in vehicles today and it is becoming more difficult to pin point the exact cause of a problem on today’s engines. Computers are designed to control vehicle emissions and do an extremely good job of this, to a point where they will disguise or compensate for a failed component. Have nothing but good things to say about Cromptons. 1st class service at a very competitive price. I was surprised to find out that they really do it all in their state of the art facility. i will be taking my vehicle there for all my future needs. Techs were kind enough to explain all issues with me in great detail. very knowledgeable staff who did everything they could to make my experience enjoyable.

I am still awaiting refund of 'complimentary' car wash charge added to my bill for about $18, now on day 4. I have asked twice for it to be credited back to my credit card and told it would be done asap. And rubbing this in my face, this is your second request for a review! ... here it is. I should have sat down and read everything before I paid and left, but if this is typical customer service or practice, BUYER BEWARE!

Yes, we did bill you for a car wash in error. When servicing your vehicle we did perform a complimentary car wash. In our software we have to remember to zero the price, I neglected to do this. For that I am sorry. We do not keep credit card numbers on file, for many reasons, one of course is for your own security, the other is our credit card provider does not allow us to key in credit card numbers, once again for your own security. Since we do not have your credit card number we could not issue a credit on your credit card, so on Monday when you made us aware of this error, I immediately prepared and mailed you a cheque for 19.81, tax included. I suspect you received it in todays mail. Since you called today wanting a credit card credit, Ben called our credit card provider and pleaded with them to allow us to key the credit card number you provided, into the credit card terminal so we could issue the credit. So now you have a credit on your credit card and a cheque that was mailed to you. If a merchant has access to your credit card number, Buyer beware for sure. As a human, unfortunatly we do make mistakes, once again I apologize.

This was my first visit to Crompton's as I am new to the area. I was a loyal and very satisfied customer of my previous auto service centre for 20 years and I was looking for the same quality and customer service in my new community. My first experience was a very good one. I called early on a Friday morning as my car had begun showing several warning lights. I was asked if I was able to bring the car in the very same day, which I didn't expect due to the fact that it was a Friday. The folks at Crompton's did a great job in diagnosing the problem and fixing my car, and more importantly, making me feel like a valued customer. I left feeling confident that I had found a service centre that I can trust for the next 20 years.
